If an application has to be updated, it must be imported again. Web Deploy packages are used for this, just like with the initial installation. The update procedure is the same as the import procedure described in Import of an Application for both Portal Web and Server application. It is highly recommended to create a backup from the application database as well as from the application files on the server before updating it.

Important: After this step, the configurations (Web.config) described in the chapter Configuration of the Application must be reviewed and adjusted (if required). This adjustment is described on Restore old Configuration Settings

If there are some issues here, the installation was not successfull and please refer to the Troubleshooting section to fix your issues.

Wird eine Anwendung aktualisiert, muss diese erneut ausgeliefert und importiert werden. Dazu werden wie bei der initialen Installation Web-Deploy-Pakete erzeugt. Der Aktualisierungsvorgang läuft analog zum im Kapitel Import einer Applikation beschriebenen Importvorgang ab.

Wichtig: Nach diesem Schritt müssen die im Kapitel Konfiguration der Anwendung beschriebenen Konfigurationen erneut vorgenommen werden! Diese Anpassung wird unter Alte Konfigurationseinstellungen wiederherstellen beschrieben
