The term entity refers to the sender or creator of an XBRL filing. An XBRL filing is usually prepared by companies. It does not matter whether these are corporate groups, subsidiaries or legal entities. Only XBRL filings that can be assigned to a reporting entity can be processed. Each entity requires a unique XBRL ID.
- The XBRL ID is used to identify an XBRL file and assign it to a reporting entity. An ID must be unique in order to assign the incoming filings to the correct entity
- Usually these are the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) code for insurance companies or another number for banks, see also https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_Entity_Identifier
To manage entities, select the menu item "Master data → Entities". To edit the individual entities, click on the "Edit" icon. To delete an entity, click on the "Delete" icon.

Unter dem Begriff Entity werden Absender oder Ersteller der XBRL-Meldung zusammengefasst. Dies sind üblicherweise Unternehmen. Dabei spielt es keine Rolle, ob es sich um Konzerne, Tochtergesellschaften oder juristische Personen handelt. Es können nur XBRL-Meldungen verarbeitet werden, welche einer meldenden Entity zugeordnet werden können. Jede Entity benötigt eine eindeutige XBRL ID. - Die XBRL ID dient der Identifizierung einer XBRL-Datei und der Zuordnung zu einer meldenden Entity. Eine ID muss dabei eindeutig sein, um die eingehenden Meldungen der richtigen Entity zuordnen zu können

Um Entities zu verwalten, wählen Sie den Menüpunkt „Stammdaten → Entities" aus. Um die einzelnen Entities zu bearbeiten, klicken Sie auf das Symbol „Stift". Um eine Entity zu löschen, klicken Sie auf das Symbol „Papierkorb".
