The changes are evaluated at cell level. The following types of changes are identified:
- The cell label has changed (from "Required field" to "May not field" and vice versa).
- A validation rule contains new cells.
- Cells are no longer part of a validation rule.
- Validation rules have been added or removed.
Cells and validation rules that have changed are highlighted in the result document. In addition, the column beside contains information about the type of change, so that changed validation rules can be filtered out in Excel using a data filter.

Um eine Vergleichsdatei zu erstellen, klicken Sie in der Liste der Reports oben auf den Button „Reports vergleichen". Um in einer neuen Version einer Validierungsregeldatei die Änderungen gegenüber einer älteren Version anzuzeigen, laden Sie als Report-Datei die neue Version des Excel-Reports hoch. Als Vergleichsdatei wird die Excel-Datei mit dem alten Report hochgeladen. Durch das Klicken auf „Vergleichen" wird die Vergleichsdatei generiert. Nach einer kurzen Wartezeit kann der Report heruntergeladen werden.
 Image Modified Zwei generierte Reports können auch verglichen werden. Die Änderungen werden dabei auf Zellebene ausgewertet. Folgende Arten von Änderungen werden hierbei erkannt: - Die Markierung einer Zelle hat sich geändert (von „Mussfeld" zu „Darf-Nicht Feld" und umgekehrt).
- Eine Validierungsregel besteht aus neuen Zellen.
- Zellen sind nicht mehr Teil einer Validierungsregel.
- Validierungsregeln wurden hinzugefügt oder entfernt.
Zellen und Validierungsregeln, die sich geändert haben, werden im Ergebnisdokument farblich hervorgehoben. Zudem befindet sich in einer weiteren Spalte die Information, welche Art der Änderung vorhanden ist, sodass geänderte Validierungsregeln in Excel über einen Datenfilter herausgefiltert werden können .
